Ice Storm???

So, hubbie got sent home early from work. Little girl had school canceled today for the ice storm.

Ummm, I don't see it. It is rainy - yes. It is cold -yes. It was not slick when I was out an hour ago. We (hubbie and I) love the weather guys around town trying to make something out of nothing.

In real news - haha! I had the baby at the dr AGAIN today. My ped was making fun of me as all the nurses know me and my kiddos. Different nurses were asking about the other two kids who were not there. Sad but true.

The good news - little man isn't any worse. The bad news - he isn't much better.

He has lost some weight (because he hasn't been eating)...but the Dr said put that on the back burner....

And as of right now - the Red Cross is standing by....for rain. And people are walking carefully through the Walmart...stay tuned!

I sense that we really will have something later this evening, but the constant news coverage is a little ridiculous (No Oprah, No Dr. Phil)......

This morning I woke up to 2 inches of snow. Surprise! Mr. Weatherman had told us not to expect anything til Saturday. And of course everyone couldn't handle it. Accidents galore.

Hope your little guy feels better soon!

My husband was sent home from school, and had school cancelled tomorrow too, but we really did get freezing rain and everything is totally covered in ice. The plants look really cool!

We're supposed to get ice tomorrow, here in Dallas. They close EVERYTHING down when the weather gets bad. The week before Christmas, we had 6 inches of snow. I thought the world was coming to an end. I didn't see other real people for a week! ;)

Stay warm....er.....dry! ;)

Hello Friday Follow! Stay safe if the weather does turn ugly! If not, still sounds like a good excuse to snuggle in for the weekend.

I know! I remember when they'd break into programming for storms. GIve you the info and go back to the shows. But not now...they all want to be the 'first to bring you complete coverage'. lol.

over from FF
Ma Vie Folle ..and.. My Wellness Blog... I appreciate it! :)

I agree! I went to the grocery store last night because our shelves were BARE and my entire city was there. The weather men keep saying this is going to be horrible...well, I'm looking out side and I see nothing.

Hopefully the little one will feel better soon!

LOL I always shake my head at the "news" that airs. Oftentimes it's a stretch calling their breaking stories news.

Thanks for following and now I'm following you!

A couple weeks ago the schools closed out there for severe weather...it was only high 20s. The next day, everybody went back to school and it was in the teens and there was ice everywhere. ANNOYING! Hope the little guy gets to feeling better soon.
I'm a new follower from friday follower...nice to "meet" you

Stopping by from Friday Follow. That's so funny about the weather. I live in West Michigan so we're used to the snow. The weather guys try to make a big deal about it, but we just ignore them and go about our business.

We too had great predictions of 8-14" of snow...but we got maybe 2". We were prepared just in case and all the grocery stores were packed! Now it's just wet and slushy.

Sorry your little one is sick! Hope he's better soon!

Thanks for the Friday Follow!

Around here schools close if the weather guys breathe the words inclement weather. Seriously. Up north where I am from, it has to be a full scale blizzard and sometimes even then it's still ON. No joke. I really hope your kids are feeling better!! This time of year is tough on the little ones. Take care!!
